Really I love these needles. Hands down ththe best bigpins I’ve ever used. My only gripe and why I have them a 4 instead of a 5 was because I wish they came in a curved grouping as well.

Love these mags. If you’re looking to smooth out your shading then give these a shot. Tattoo the same way you would with standard medium taper pins and get smoother results. It’s a no brainer.

I used the needles a few days ago and it was amazing the way in which I made layers of shade, very easy and without feeling that the skin was being hurt.

I felt that the hella smooth bugpin mags work great for doing smooth gradations of soft grey wash ,without getting any mag markings that would create any inconsistency in a smooth black and grey Tattoo.

Happy with all needle configurations. I tried these ones because the ones I normally use for black and grey (11 long curved magnums) were sold out. I think I still prefer the ones I normally get but its always good to try something new! This 4 star review is based on my preference for the ones I normally use, as I (ironically) had a slightly harder time getting the ink in smoothly with these Hella Smooths. But I just may be an old dog that doesn't learn new tricks super well...
Overall, I absolutely love Black Claw needles and don't use anything else!
